After the Wingsuit Competition I had about a week left to get some more jumps done around the region of Lake Garda in Italy. This area is so beautiful and has practically everything you could ask for.. Mountain Ranges that go on for ever which are host to so many different activities such as hiking, rock climbing, cycling, paragliding and of course BASE jumping. On top of that, there is also the huge lake with breathtaking pebble beaches to swim, kayak, kite board or sail in and all of this with great food, wine, coffee and gelato. Sound pretty good huh?!!
While I'm in this region I normally stay at Camp Daino in Pietramurata, the camp ground has everything including a pool and bar, offering good deals in between seasons on the self contained bungalows. They're also conveniently placed at the landing area for one of the jumps from the cliff that is right in front of you called Casale. My last week was spent doing some nice hikes in the area to exit points and soaking in the great views of jumps that over look the lake and some less known jumps that a local friend took me to. This really is a pretty amazing area and I look forward to coming back again next year.
