I'm just settling back into routine after an awesome, fun, knowledge-packed 4 days at the first Next Level Wingsuit Camp. Matt Blank, Micah Couch, Scotty Bob and myself hosted the event for 13 Wingsuiters of different skill levels at SkyDance Skydiving in Davis, California. Leading up to the camp there was numerous concerns with the weather forecast which predicted 4 days straight of rain, all that we knew was the weatherperson has the only job in the world where you can consistently be wrong and not get fired. Our optimism clearly shined through and we managed to jump everyday despite some heavy rain on the first 2 days and managed to get 18 skill building jumps done. The focus of the camp was progression and education, giving participants the chance to work in small and organised groups with individual objectives to create a safe learning environment that keeps stoke levels high. During the camp we also held seminars covering an array of subject matter and surprisingly I think they stole the show. All of our participants were so hungry for information and I am super confident that they all left the camp with a new found level of safety and competence as Wingsuit Pilots. A huge thank you must go out to SkyDance Skydiving in Davis, California who did an amazing job of getting us on every available load and accomodating us with anything imaginable to make sure this camp was a huge success. If you're in the area you should definitely go check them out.
