I've just got home from hosting the first Wide Open Wingsuit Series Training Camp at Skydive Perris with Randy Seib and Joe Nesbitt from Lightning Flight Wingsuit School. The focus of this Camp is to help prepare Wingsuit Pilots for what it takes to compete in a W.O.W.S event, giving them practical experience at all aspects of the competition. Each participant received a complete overview of every flight including video debriefing, Flysight analysis, scoring and tips for how to improve their performance. The W.O.W.S format brings together some of the great aspects of 2 other Wingsuit competitions; the 4-way head-to-head excitement and bracketed race heats from Redbull Aces and the performance driven qualities of the Paralog Performance Competition. It was great to see everyone's competitive nature come out in this fun environment and to hear that they all learned a lot more than expected. Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot more competitors joining the ranks in the near future!
